We are seeking a reliable, observant, and compassionate Security Guard to help maintain a safe environment for clients and staff at our Residential Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment facility in Los Angeles.
As part of our operations team, the Security Guard plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of the facility while maintaining a trauma-informed, respectful, and non-confrontational presence.

🔐 Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to maintain facility safety
- Limit access only to clients, staff and approved visitors
- Observe the property for anything unusual and document it accordingly
- Conduct routine perimeter checks and log incidents as needed
- De-escalate conflict or behavioral issues using non-violent techniques
- Observe and report any suspicious or unsafe activity
- Support staff in managing visitor access and deliveries
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow facility protocols
- Ensure confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards
🧠 Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Guard Card (Required)
- Minimum 1 year of security experience, preferably in a behavioral health, medical, or SUD setting
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles a plus
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
